During the mid 1990’ties Liverpool started to undergo an incredible transformation, .The local council had a vision of “City Centre Living”. In 1996 the Draft Unitary Development Plan was created, putting this vision down on paper and formulating a strategy of future developement.
The idea was based around the fact that Liverpool had a number of empty office buildings, warehouses and old Banks that could easy be made into luxury flats and apartments. Despite the current period of instability, property analysts are predicting that Liverpool will be affected by the property crash less than most areas. This is because house price rises in Liverpool started from a very low base, compared to the rest of the country. For a city of such splendour pre millennium house prices were unnaturally low & despite the rapid increase since then, property for sale in Liverpool still represents value for money, despite the current climate.
